Icons/banners: Ask please! - I might also want to see it! I'm easygoing but ask the client if you want to use commissioned pieces.

For my personal work: only the canon characters are OK for icons.

My other works are for me alone (e.g. self-portraits), or OCs, so I'm hesitant to approve those.

Reposting: Ask me first; I may have uploaded it elsewhere already.​

I'd prefer to have someone link to my work instead - that way, it's credited.

commissions

You can ask not to be mentioned by name/social media handle if I post the piece. You can also ask for the piece not to be posted at all.

I normally ask about this, especially if it's a piece I'm particularly proud of.

How do trades work?

Only available if we both agree.

Partial trade: money & [writing OR art]

Full trade: generally, art for art.

Default writing metric (if we're not using one already): $20/2000 words, or $1/100 words.

*Please don't skimp out on your part of the trade.

I also won't accept unsolicited/unannounced AI stuff of any kind.

Trades also involve trust, so doing either may remove this payment option or even restrict your ability to commission me*

How about pay schedules? When do I get the finished piece?

Paid upfront? Immediately upon completion.

Half now/later or at the end? After the final payment is made.

-Commission Piece details-

Unless otherwise specified, I generally show my progress along the way so that way we don’t end up with a bad product.

 

If it’s minor stuff, for example–the sketch stage “I don’t like where his head is/how big his arms are”, I can adjust it.

But after we have agreed and locked the overall sketch in, I will be working from it and won’t be offering refunds once we move into the later stages.

Please don’t decide that you want a massive aspect changed, especially if it’s mostly completed/finalized.

How much detail do you need for complex pieces?

What if I don't have time to or can't answer questions, or want to leave the details to you?

It's okay to leave things to me, but I will still need key information like character(s), main idea, if you want color and lining, product type.

However, it's for an obscure character or an OC, I MUST have a reference. It's always a good idea to tell me what the series the character hails from.

My typical process includes asking plenty of questions, offering alternate ideas as they come up, and checking for opinions - although straightforward commissions may not go through this.

Things to think about:

• style, color/shading, mood! Feel free to look through my work or similar works to let me know what kind of style you’re looking for. This is pretty vague on purpose, but it can extend to things like line-thickness, referencing other artists/series, color palettes…

• pose, facial expression, general mood–a combination of these. Unless you want me to work off of a general mood and I have a sense of the character(s).

• references– OC, a specific in-game outfit, etc.

• Anything else not mentioned up there but you feel is important.
